ONE-2L

THE BICYCLE YOU CAN FIX WITH ONE TOOL

IN MOST CASES THE DEFECTS START AS SMALL ANNOYANCES THAT CYCLISTS IGNORE.

BUT WITH TIME THEY GRIND AWAY INTO LARGER PROBLEMS POSSIBLY CAUSING OTHER MALFUNCTIONS.

A SIMPLE RACING BIKE CAN BE DISASSEMBLED INTO 253 PIECES WITHIN 45 MINUTES USING AROUND 13 DIFFERENT TOOLS.

SOME OF THESE TOOLS ARE SO SPECIFIC THAT THEY ARE NOT FOUND IN THE TOOLBOX OF THE EVERYDAY CYCLIST.

DO WE REALLY NEED 13 TOOLS

TO DO THE MAINTENANCE OF OUR OWN BICYCLES?

COULDN'T THIS ALL BE SIMPLER?

ONE-2L IS A BICYCLE RELYING ON A SYSTEM THAT CAN BE ASSEMBLED WITH ONLY ONE TOOL.

The system is inspired by the build of a crankshaft but redesigned with a set of dimensions that match the tool. With out changing these dimensions the system is then modified according to the requirements of the other areas on the bicycle.
To avoid using a manual the parts of the system are color coded according to a fixed sequence. This sequence guides the user through the disassembly and reassembly of the system as it is repeated anywhere on the bicycle.

When cycling it doubles as the headlight and the front rack, when parked it functions as the lock.
By simplifying the process, repairing a bicycle becomes something the cyclist understands.

TO HAVE THE TOOL READY AT ALL TIMES IT IS INTEGRATED INTO THE DESIGN OF THE BICYCLE.

Now the cyclist can do the maintenance autonomously, repair even the smallest defects, adjust for personal preferences or even upgrade parts, making it a more personal vehicle that is enjoyed and rode more often.
